Update 9/13/08:
I got the Pella double hung windows at Lowes. I like them a lot, the dark bronze outside and wood inside, finished dark and it’s just a different look than the white vinyl everybody else is using.
Had to put little nails in the bottom inside as the wood frame started coming apart a little, it’s only stapled. That’s a bit lame, but not the end of time.
My old place had single pane real old windows and this is a huge step up. The low E makes helps keep it cool in summer.
